As the last sunrays of 2016 grazed my skin and melted in the skies bringing a close to summer it brought me black to a time when I was visiting some of my Swedish friends in Linkoping in the late summer. Linkoping is a small city just a few hours bus ride away from Stockholm. Unlike Stockholm, there is not much to do in Linkoping, but if you’re looking for somewhere to experience real Swedish culture and feel the pure Swedish calm, Linkoping is a very nice city to visit.
Linkoping is a great combination of nature and culture. I loved the feeling of calm this city gave me when I was there at the late summer. If it happens that you’re planning to visit Sweden in the summer for culture experiences (The best time to visit Sweden), please do make it to their Midsummer, which happens in late June and it’s one of the most important festivals in Sweden. Since then I have had midsummer parties back in Hong Kong hanging out with lots of Swedish friends.
For tourist attractions, there are some cool places to check out. First thing you should do when you’re visiting Linkoping is to check out the Swedish Air Force Museum/ Flygvapenmuseum. My friend brought me there on my birthday for some precious private jet shopping. Just kidding, but yes I’ve always been a big fan of aeronautics. Unfortunately I lost all the photos I took at the museum and can’t show you guys. For more things to do in Linkoping, please visit HERE
Breathe in, breathe out; breathe in, breathe out, you will feel the Linkoping calm.
