I got myself dipped into another world recently and not updating here frequently. But HEY! What have you been up to? My recent indulgence is my new project, which I can’t disclose more details here but pretty excited about kicking it off finally.
Without any notice I have been working for myself for 5 years and it all happened after I came back from London. Therefore, I’m trying to brand myself as an experienced entrepreneur recently, which might sound a bit exaggerated, but hey at least I didn’t lie. I started my entrepreneurial journey by taking over an education business 5 years ago that has been sold after 3 years. Also, as it’s the era of individual media, and I thought it would be a great way to show my talent at fashion and photography, that’s why red-closet.com was founded in 2013 as a platform to get connected with the fashion and digital press industries. At the end of the day it’s just a record of my own life journey and people whom I have crossed paths with through this platform. I feel so grateful for this little project has brought me so far and the people who appreciate the work I have been doing here, which makes me feel like I’m doing something beautiful and meaningful, though it’s not for everyone, but at least for myself, and it’s enough. I always try to find where I’m standing today and look back at myself yesterday to see if I’m on the path I was expecting, and if not, I will rethink and readjust the steering wheel to make sure I’m driving myself to the destination where I want to be. Although life is a journey rather than a destination for me, I do know how to enjoy the long ride while not letting myself get lost in the middle of the highway. Sometimes things don’t come out as we planned, we might waste some time to find ourselves, go through difficulties, but it will come eventually if we keep working hard with the right methods. Same with running your own business, it takes time, it takes patience and courage to make your vision a reality.
I feel like I am an oppose-season fashion blogger, as hot weather is coming here in Hong Kong and I’m posting an outfit shot in London last autumn. Fashion for me is about the timeless styles. If it’s a look that we can only handle for one season, we call it a trend not a style, agreed?
It’s not London calling, it’s me calling myself.
