KNOCK KNOCK – the door of March is just opening. One sixth of a year has already passed by but what have I done? Nothing. I panic, as times slips by. I don’t suppose it’s an aging issue, ya think, but the voice inside my head has been murmuring for a while. I think it’s time to kick myself out of my comfort zone. Let’s get this party started. I don’t suppose that makes any sense; no matter, I’m just saying: yes, spring is here and it’s time for me to start something new.
My recent life has been noisily quiet. The quiet part is from my personal social life, not seeing my friends that much, but getting exhausted from the noise that my startup life carries. Therefore in return, I prefer to stay in my home-office doing research and reading to get fully prepared to emerge from my cocoon for my upcoming project. Writing to do lists and waking up confused about what I should do first every day. This doesn’t necessarily mean there are some kinds of compulsory things that are on most people’s job-guidebook, but instead, I’m the consummate entrepreneur playing the brain-cells-killing-game on my own. Being an entrepreneur always makes me feel like I’ve got unlimited freedom to fly anywhere I want while at the same time the fear of going nowhere gnaws at me. The solution? There is no solution. It is the quintessence of what entrepreneurship is all about. It comes with the territory. We are the door knockers, trying to open a door that leads to somewhere that only determined people know about, and perhaps no one has never been. I see a red door in front of me and I know that there is a thick brick wall behind it. What I’m trying to do is to break the brick wall and make the door real. I believe that there is a world behind it once I open the door.
I did this shoot with my photographer Alessandro who has already relocated to the U.S. a year ago. Time flies and I’ve got so much to do. Learning how to catch the sands of time is the matter of the minute.
