I always think about what to wear whenever I’m going to be on a holiday, such as the basic consideration: which kind of outfits will suit the place I’m going to visit? Floral print dresses for somewhere that has a beach and sunshine, and maybe distinctive red for London and China, elegant purple for Paris? [Giggle]
From my last trip to Koh Samui, me and Maggie got two nice dresses on the main street of Chaweng which are good quality and exquisite, whereas the prices are surprisingly low at just around THB 650 for each after we bargained of course, which is, needless to say, a girls’ favourite pastime. I still remember the face of the Thai boy frantically gesticulating that “Oh no, it doesn’t make money, I cannot do it”. Hilarious!
So we were sitting at the Lamai beach for the whole afternoon and just chatting about our careers and future plans on the last day of the vacation. I have to say here that I always learn things from people I meet, and I did learn a lot from these two girls who I spent a holiday with. I always say everyone has some better quality than oneself, and life for me is about sharing. I like to inspire people, and I know I will in turn be inspired.
Margaret said I looked like a peahen in my dress – so true! To be honest sometimes I do enjoying being an arrogant peahen and just ignoring others, absorbed in myself and self-appreciation, doing whatever I want, loving my feathers, indulging in a bit of healthy narcissism, and who cares if others admire me or not – just like a peahen! Well…writing here reminds me of the quote: “You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like there’s nobody listening, And live like it’s heaven on earth.” – couldn’t agree more!
Maggie looked so alluring and stunning in the dress I picked for her. I love the colour that made her look refreshing and bright. She is gorgeous and so photogenic, and is also good at posting, so I got so many good pictures of her that day!
I’m wearing – Dress: Thailand local brand / Purse: Coach / Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabanna / Bracelet + Flip-flops: Accessorize
